How do I register?

Registration for Data Challenge 2020 is now closed.

Check back in Fall 2020 for registration information about Data Challenge 2021!

Do I have to attend both the Kick-off Event and the Presentation Days to be considered a Participant?

Yes, you must be present both days.
If you do not attend Kick-off Event with your team, you may not attend Presentation Day to help your team present the findings of your analysis.
If you do not attend Presentation Day, you will no longer be considered part of your team.

Do you provide food?

More that you can imagine. No, seriously, we will keep you well fed and watered.

Can I bring my own team?

Yes, you can! Your team can include 1-4 members.

I don’t have a team. What do I do?

UMD Student Participants are welcome to attend the team building session on February 7, 2020 so you can interact with other registered Data Challenge participants and build your team.

What do I bring to Data Challenge?

Bring a valid student ID, your laptop and charger, and bundles of enthusiasm.

Where and when is the event?

The event is taking place at Adele H. Stamp Student Union at the University of Maryland, College Park.
The full week-long event will be from February 22, 2020 to February 29, 2020. Your entire team must be on campus both February 22 and 29 to be able to participate in both events, but you will be working remotely with your team and your mentor during the week in between the Kickoff and Presentation days.

Kick-off Event: February 22, 2020 | 9:00am – 5:00pm

Presentation Day: February 29, 2020 | 9:00am – 5:00pm | Awards Ceremony will begin at 4:00pm
